So I've not been able to stay awake for longer than 3 hours in a row since like, monday morning. And even then it was only 4 hours. The rest of the time? I am sleeping. Sleep for a few hours, wake up, pass out. It's a horrid cycle and I have no idea what time it is ever. But Hopefully it's helping me get better.

I spent a good while yesterday writing emails to all my profs, and most of them were highly understanding. Even the one I have for a huge giant lecture class of doom.

But guess what. Not my American Lit prof. See, she has this horrid little thing called an attendance policy, and apparently even being sick with the flu with a 102.9 degree fever does not excuse you from going over limit of said attendance policy even though the only reason you ever missed class to begin with was because of being sick!

I have spent like, the past month and a half sick. This. Sucks.

She did say she would "take it into consideration," but that doesn't sound promising.

Grr.

Is it possible for you to get a chancellor's excuse? Or...whatever the equivalent of that might be at your school? I had mono my junior year and missed so much class, omg. If I hadn't gotten that I would have failed half my classes.

I dunno. I'm going to try and get SOMETHING to work. i have a note from campus Health Services, so that should be good for SOMETHING at least.

I'd suggest talking to the Dean of Students if your lit Prof keeps giving you a hard time. Because, seriously - penalising because of sick is So Not On.
