I GOT INTO HOUSING FOR TRINITY.

DORM! KAJHFKJAF. EXCITEMENT!

Okay why this is awesome, let me explain to you~

A- PRICE PRICE PRICE. Apartments? NOT CHEAP! Houses? NEED TO KNOW SOME PEOPLE TO MAKE IT CHEAP! Options? SEVERELY LIMITED! Dorms? STRANGELY AFFORDABLE.
B- STRESS OH GOD STRESS! If I were NOT in the dorms I couldn't find a place to live until I FLEW OVER* and met people and set things up and. Ohgodscary. So. Yes. MUCH better.
C- EASE OF MEETING PEOPLE. I'm in a single bedroom in an apartment of six people. I...don't know how that works, exactly, but it sounds cool?
D- LOCATION. It's not ON campus but it not FAR from campus. And right on a tram line and a few bus routes! If I were apartment hunting for something affordable I MIGHT just have ended up in Timbuktu. WHO KNOOOOWS.
E- OVERABUNDANCE OF JOY. Self-explanatory.

So you see, my day? She is made.

Oh and if anyone knows of and icons of DINO that I DON'T HAVE UPLOADED AT piratewhip, please tell me? I'm down to making them, for the most part. Because every icon I find seems to have his lips attached to Hibari in some way and he doesn't actually want to die just yet, thanks.

*For those unaware or new to the flist~ I'm going to grad school in Ireland in the fall. Thus the stress about having to FLY OVER before doing anything @_@

No, in some places they are!! My apartment last year was definitely cheaper, and I know a lot of places around my old college that were cheaper. And I lived in both! It just depends on location. And Dublin is NOT one of those locations @_@

Well, yeah I guess that's true. I think though that what people forget to factor in though is that the charge they're looking at covers amenitites too. Like the $400/month appartment vs. the $4000/school year dorm room are differnet creatures sometimes because the appartment isnt' factoring in electricity and/or water, ect...

Some people, do, yeah. But Sometimes even with all that included, it does come out cheaper, particularly in like, a college TOWN. Because the apartments are aimed at students almost exclusively-- non-students are usually looking for a more permanent residence. In a city, it's a whole different beast.

Yeah, I guess I'm different than most. I want to stay in my college town because then I don't need a car.

...okay I don't think that's what I meant at all. I meant a town that exists BECAUSE there's a college, not a college that exists in an already-fairly-successful town.

Well West Lafayette only exists because Purdue was put here.

Practically the same with Statesboro. It SORT OF existed, but the college is why it has any sort of reasonable population. But that doesn't mean I don't need a car! @_@

Oh well, since I can't drive, I have to be where there are busses to take me where I need to go. That' why I want to stay in West Lafayette because thent he only time I'll need a car is if I'm going to Indy for doctor stuff then I can take a taxi or maybe get a ride off my mom or something.

Our bus system is useless. I goes in a one-way circle around campus. SORT OF. If you need to go anywhere USEFUL, like the store, you need a car. XD

We have about five or six different loops and one of them goes out to the mall and best buy areas of Lafayette XD I'm pretty much set living there.
