Okay, so I'm trying to make sense of this.
The Mind Map works according to you having groups of friends who are all friends with each other. So the biggest, brightest names are the ones who are all interconnected. In my case, those are the people that got their LJ's around the same time I did- the UHPMS/HPC/BOOM Crowd. The people I don't talk too so often anymore, regretfully. They're located to the both North and South of my core. Which is kinda funny.
What's interesting is that I talk to more of the people in the South section more often of this group. They're the ones who still update a good bit.
Then in what I assume could be called the Southwest corner is the OM crew. We don't communicate via LJ a lot, so hey. Also, some of them hardly use LJ at all and haven't defined many friends. So those areas, although a more active part of my life, are not as interconnected.
Just north of that, you find most of my fanfic-interest LJ folks, interlocking a bit with the small handful of folks from the 'boro I have on my list. The 'boro folks extend across the top of the map, somewhat spaced out, though the few GSA people are near each other while the two Theatre people are close by as well, those separated a bit from the GSA folks. Steven [Kalcon] and Jamie [the_alphy] are exceptions because they interlock with different groups as well. You find Jamie with the OMers and Steven thrown in between Jamie and my sister, who was part of that core group [birdythenerdy].
And on OM, there are a few that wrap around the top of the map and one stuck off on the west side. No idea why.
People from back home are on the outskirts, not connected to each other for the most part and thus not necessarily together. However, you get Birdy near a few folks that are mutal RL friends of ours, not suprisingly.
Most of the other people scattered about....have been picked up very randomly. Some to watch for fic updates, some just because they seemed interesting or fun. There aren't many connections between those groups, and thus they are randomly placed throughout the map.
...That was strangely fun. XD
