Busy busy busy
Nov. 4th, 2007 04:47 pmLast night was officially the end of this years Halloween festivities for me. Yeah, it took a whole week. XD A week in which school and life are still trying to kill me too. @__@ Save me. And it's not over yet. I'm just taking a much needed break for the moment. Hey, I deserve it.
Friday night was "SEX-O-WEEN," which is always a hoot. We spent a few hours thursday carving not one, not two, not three, but EIGHTEEN FREE PUMPKINS for the event. Ohmygod they were huge. I mean, these were like, the $23 pumpkins, but it was AFTER Halloween so they were just trying to get rid of them. Awesome. I took pictures of most of them at the party, I think. And when I re-find my camera in the black hole that is my room, I'll post them. They're...well. They're something. XD
So I had a blast at that, not really drinking but just hanging out and throwing myself into the music and having a grand old time. Got them to inadvertantly play The Whitlams too. Fricken brilliant. Most of the other music was pretty common. Irish, Ska, Start Wearing Purple (You have not experienced life until you've been at a party where everyone, and I mean everyone can stand around and sing and dance to this song in a big circle. It's amazing. XD), stuff from The Nightmare Before Christmas, random rap and Hispanic stuff, etc. Good times.
Yesterday I got up and made the drive to Savannah in order to take the GRE. @____@ Yeah. Brain. Dead. But they give you your scores for Verbal and Quantative before you even leave.
Verbal: 570
Quanatative (math, basically): 750
Clearly there is something wrong with me. XD I'M AN ENGLISH MAJOR, DAMNIT. Why am I saddled with awesome math skills? TCH. Whatever. Still not what I want to do with my life. God, the grad school people are going to look at that and just go "weird," aren't they? XD
Got home from that at...just before 5? And started making cookies while Bailey made spaghetti. YUM. Good food, etc. We're stupidly good at working in the same, tiny kitchen. But then Steph came over and reminded me I was supposed to be going to a Bluegrass concert with her and I went "Oh. RIGHT." and got dressed for that.
At the rick of sounding intensely backwater country, etc. OH MY GOD. Seriously. SERIOUSLY. Amazing. Bearfoot is the name of the group. It's 3 girls and 2 guys not much older than me from Alaska and just. alfkjasfjsaflkj SO GOOD. And the guys were SO CUTE. The one played the mandolin and had this mop of curly hair and he was tearing up that mandolin and his hair was bouncing all over the place and he was like an overgrown puppy.
And he flashed the audience with his mandolin. XD
Me'n Steph might have been the youngest people there that came of our own accord but wtfever. We got CDs and they SIGNED them and were really super nice and I love them shut up don't laugh at me.
And then after that was the last party of the season. Woo. There was a pinata and jello wrestling and beer pong. Came home from THAT and I was...doing something? I have no idea what. But I walked back in the living room and DEATH NOTE was on. Holy crap. Shocked me because I clearly have not been paying attention. And Bailey's friend who's in town was just CRACKING UP at me as I spazzed. God. Why am I so laughable lately? XD
Oh and Bleach 298? HELLO AMAZING I LOVE YOU KT.
Ummmm. Done now.
