Our Town is just not a very interesting play. And I wear the most godawful hats in it. We had our first dress rehearsal today, so call was at 7. We started the show sometime around 7:45...We finished around 10:15 and were listening to notes until 10:40. My God. So by then I was starving, so I dropped by Wendy's to grab some food through the drive through on my way back to the dorm (I hadn't really had a decent meal all day) and came here, sat down and ate.

I didn't get my usual nap during Act 1. David laughed at me when I pointed this out. Apparantly I make a funny picture with my head against the wall and my mouth hanging a bit open. Or a lot as he mimics it. Dunno what I look like really, but I look (apparantly) like a mix of Little House on the Prarie, Anne of Green Gables, and American Girl (dunno which) when I'm wearing my costume. And everyone just loves my pigtails. Is it just me or is there something just slightly wrong with this picture?

HELLO. I'M EIGHTEEN. PIGTAILS ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO MAKE EVERYONE SQUEE LIKE I'M FIVE.

Nutters, the lot of them.

Different Order fo Events is getting well under way, we're workign hard to make it all come together. Still trying to get everything fully set up, but our hard work will be unveiled soon. We hope.

That's all for now. I really need to find something else to do with my time.

That made my morning. Thank you [livejournal.com profile] juliette_kelley!! *hugs*

My entire body is currently IN PAIN. Because ponies are evil. And so is Eleanor. Very, very evil

So, Eleanor (my riding trainer btw) let me ride Jack today. He is my all-time favorite. But there was one condition- I had to jump without stirrups. Can we say 'Ouch'? Yes. Ouch applies quite nicely. Now this would not have been so terrible, I've dealt with rubber legs many times because I am often forced to ride and/or jump without stirrups (it never gets easier, I swear). Noooo, Eleanor was riding this pony, she doesn't know much, but she did something funny over a little jump yesterday and the kid fell off. Typically a sweet little pony, quite responsive. So Eleanor asks me to hop on her for a bit and go over a few jumps. Well, I get on, trot around, then canter a round, ladeda, normal stuff...

And the another horse goes by over a jump. Dusty (pony I'm on) freaks out and kicks at Effy (other horse) before taking off bucking.

Ummm, hello? Not good? So we eventually stop close to the other side of the ring and then proceed to back clear up to the fence (this was a very, very long ways). Didn't feel to nice and I jerked around a lot in the saddle, but I was never in danger of falling off. Probably pulled my back a bit.

Now even that would have been okay. But NOO...Eleanor still wants me to go over a few little jumps, so we do and it's going fine and dandy for a while, butthen....Dusty flips out again. We go over the jump and she bolts. Yikes. And not only does she bolt, but she starts than damned bucking thing again. So we tear around the ring a few times, my arms are being pulled out of their sockets and I being bucked all over the saddle, but I keept it somewhat together and stay on. Again. Never in danger of falling (thank god I have good balance on a horse). Jerked around a lot.

Driving back is where it got painful, my shoulders started crampign and my lower back started to hurt. Just took a shower, so that should take care of it for now.

Gah.

I just registered for this fall (Honors program definitely has it's perks- early registration being one of them) and I am completely excited now.

So, Gary talked me into two theatre classes. I think he was excited to be advising someone who's actually a theatre major, he said he usually gets the random comm arts people. O.O What's up with that? But he was completely awesome about it. We went through and found the classes I needed to get out of the way (IE- CORE! CRAP!) and did that, so I'm taking American Gov't and World Lit for that...and then my Sophmore Seminar because I don't have a choice in the matter if I want to keep my scholarship...Then we added in two theatre classes- Scene Study and Children's Theatre. That last one is the one I'm really excited about, I mean, that's going to be awesome fun. It's with Jim, and he *seems* to like me, always says hello, but I've never worked a lot with him.

I'm kinda sad Mical's retiring next year, his class is awesomely fun. If that's a word. It probably isn't. He's just so FUNNY. *grins*

But schedualing-wise, I have it prettynice. 14 hours, and none of them in the evening. Which means it'll be easy to do the plays (yay), musical theatre group, and gsa. Evening classes are just...irksome. Lol.

Here's how it pans out:
Monday
Scene Study: 1:00-2:45
Tuesay
World Lit I: 9:30-10:45
American Gov't: 11:00-12:15
Wednesday
Sophmore Honors Seminar: 10:00-11:40
scene Study: 1:00-2:45
Thursday
World Lit I: 9:30-10:45
American Gov't: 11:00-12:15
Friday
Children's Theatre: 10:00-12:45

I'm excited. *bounce*
