UPDATE ON LIFE
Dec. 15th, 2005 12:43 pmHaha, that which I was initially going to do YESTERDAY, hmm?
Right, well, as many of you all know, I've been done with exams for a week now. And have gone back to Augusta and am working at that infernal movie theatre. You know this A- because I told you or B- because you saw e there. If you live in Augusta and have been to the theatre in the past week....option B is pretty likely, unless of course you went yesterday.
Yesterday was FIRST DAY OFF, OMGYAY.
So yeah, they've been pretty understaffed. Consequently, I call up there to ask about getting my job back [job = money = GOOD] and was told to drop by and they'd sort everything out. So I went by that afternoon at like, 1:30. Talked to one of the managers, was asked when I could start. Made the mistake of saying 'whenever you need me'. Was then asked 'How quickly can you get back here?'
So, went to the mall, went home, and was back at the theatre by 4. Worked until midnight and OMG SO MANY PEOPLE TO SEE NARNIA. It was insane.
Mind, the movie is EXCELLENT. I went monday evening after I got off work. The place is dead during the week whilst the public schools are still in session. ;)
However, my first night back, there was some interesting shit goin on. A few folks were theatre hopping and we were on the constant lookout for them.
Who usually found them?
Me. Oh ha bloody ha. XD Funny stuff. I didn't mean to, typically. And they kept bolting out the exit doors so it took us a while to really catch them.
Also. I STILL don't quite get why people throw toilet paper all over the bathroom floor. Seriously, wtf?
Ummm. What else?
OH. KING KONG. So it came out Wednesday, right? [because Peter Jackson is strange, all the LotR movies came out on wednesdays too] This means that Tuesday night, we have the midnight showing. Of course, most of the people that DO WORK THERE NOW are in high school. And most of them went home at like, 11. We ended up with a good number of managers and 5 plain-jane workers. And how many people showed up? Not all that many. XD Apparantly Kong doesn't have the cult following that drug people out at midnight in the middle of the week for LotR.
In other news. I've done most of my chistmas shopping. I now owe Steven an arm and a leg though because I don't get my paycheck until Dec 28. Please tell me I'm not the only one who sees a problem with this?
AND OH OH OH OH OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Dropkick Murphys. In Atlanta. $18.50 tickets in advance. I AM SOOOOOOO THERE. [March 4, hell yeah!]
AHHHH! *spazz*
And icon. *lol*
