Newt’s parents were quite pleased. They’d finally found something that Newt could play with for hours and not cause a blackout anywhere.

At least not anywhere they knew of.

While the blackouts were a wonderful sign of Newt’s brilliance, the electricians never seemed to agree. They were rather miffed when the traced a mass power outage in New York City to the bedroom of fifteen-year-old Newt Pulsifer.

In fact, they’d been downright livid about the whole ordeal.

So they’d gone through the stores, looking for something that could keep Newt occupied without causing disasters.

They bought him a Rubik’s cube.
