I'm alive!
Feb. 13th, 2007 02:31 pmAnd healthy! Relatively! I still have a godawful cough every now and then, one of those wet ones from somewhere in the depths of my lungs, but I can handle that. And ignore it for the most part.
I'm partially inclined to go find that wonderful doctor lady and give her a hug. Because all the random stuff she prescribed me WORKED SO WELL. And I mean it. I'm saying GOOD THINGS about the voodoo hut and and I'm not even kidding. The flu cleared up in a few dyas and I was feeling human by Friday and capable of staying awake for most of the day by Saturday. AND THE SKIN ON MY ARMS. OMFG.
If you have seen me in the past few months you probably know that the insides of my elbows have been scaley and freaky since Thanksgiving. And NOTHING I DID WAS HELPING MUCH. This wonderful doctor lady took ONE LOOK at them and went "OH YOU POOR THING!" and prescribed me the most amazing stuff for them EVER. And now it's GONE. GONE I SAY.
I have newfound appreciation for being healthy. Spending the better part of three weeks ASLEEP because I lacked the energy to do ANYTHING ELSE really will make you appreciate that. I LIKE FEELING HUMAN.
And to make things even BETTER...
It's WARM again! FINALLY. This is when I remember what I actually like about living in the south. Mind, this is pretty much the only time I like living in the south. But walking around outside in Februrary and it's 70 DEGREES OUT just makes me happy. Because I'm warm without having to try. Now, come summer when I start talking about heat indexes of oh, 115 on a regular basis, I will remember why I want to get the hell out of here. But then, it's not summer right now. It's winter and the weather is gorgeous.
I had planned to write something interesting about the way I live my life, but then I got sidetracked by JOY. Introspection, sidelined again. You'll hear about the interesting balance that is me being solitary and me being social some other time. ♥!
