I think I finally understand why I stay up late for no reason. Well, beyond the obvious of my internet addiction and enjoying the peacefulness of the night-time.
Because, really, night-time isn't so peaceful here half the time. Unless everyone's gone. XD
I stay awake and take care of people when weird shit happens. And I always leave my light on and bedroom door open when I AM awake so they can come find me. Unless I'm feeling seriously anti-social and that doesn't usually deter people anyhow.
Tonight's rundown:
1. [early in the evening] JD was being an idiot and pissed off Steph. Got her out of the house, cracked jokes, commiserated, problem somewhat solved. Also acquired much needed toilet paper in the process.
2. Warned Kevin about a project due in the morning.
3. Tried to see what was wrong with Drew.
4. Went to talk to Carie upon Drew's request as he left.
5. Talked to Carie. Found out they broke up. Offered alcohol.
6. Talked to Bailey and kept her company when she woke up.
7. Gave Bailey allergy meds in hopes that she could sleep.
8. Startled by thumping noises from the bathroom. No guys here, deemed it safe. Discovered Bailey attempting [and failing] to close the bathroom door so she could use the facilities. Closed door successfully.
[Edit] 9. Upon Drew's return, talked to him about stuff and tried to help him feel a LITTLE better. Success undetermined.
So I'm wondering if anything else will happen to bring me up to ten for the night. XD And I think I like taking care of people. And to take care of people you have to be awake. Which I usually am. [Within reason] I know a lot about people I care about just because I'm awake, around and willing to listen when shit happens. And I've discovered that in some cases I don't even mind when they wake me up at weird hours.
Life's pretty good. Spring break wasn't long enough, especially for the sheer amount of driving I did during it. I literally did some sort of weird triangle across the state. Why does my sister have to live practically on the Alabama state line. :| Geeze, man. I've been languishing in bed basically since I got back because I don't want to go anywhere near my car for a few days if I can help it. Though I did cave and put more gas in it today just in case. And got donuts! So that's breakfast for tomorrow! \o/
Last night was hilariously fantastic. And I'm never going to stop finding it funny how THREE PEOPLE can come up with I think THIRTEEN CHARACTERS for ONE LOG. It. Was amazing. I laughed so haaaard. XDDD; ILU GUYS. And Michelle knows I have plans for a post soon. >D Beware, as soon as I have an evening not-so-bizarre when people are about and not having a ton of fun at cons [zomgstilljealous], IT WILL HAPPEN. And it will be glorious.
