themegalooI GOT INTO HOUSING FOR TRINITY.
DORM! KAJHFKJAF. EXCITEMENT!
Okay why this is awesome, let me explain to you~
A- PRICE PRICE PRICE. Apartments? NOT CHEAP! Houses? NEED TO KNOW SOME PEOPLE TO MAKE IT CHEAP! Options? SEVERELY LIMITED! Dorms? STRANGELY AFFORDABLE.
B- STRESS OH GOD STRESS! If I were NOT in the dorms I couldn't find a place to live until I FLEW OVER* and met people and set things up and. Ohgodscary. So. Yes. MUCH better.
C- EASE OF MEETING PEOPLE. I'm in a single bedroom in an apartment of six people. I...don't know how that works, exactly, but it sounds cool?
D- LOCATION. It's not ON campus but it not FAR from campus. And right on a tram line and a few bus routes! If I were apartment hunting for something affordable I MIGHT just have ended up in Timbuktu. WHO KNOOOOWS.
E- OVERABUNDANCE OF JOY. Self-explanatory.
So you see, my day? She is made.

*For those unaware or new to the flist~ I'm going to grad school in Ireland in the fall. Thus the stress about having to FLY OVER before doing anything @_@

AND YAY CONGRATS!! Dorms are a pain because they're so small, but also low-stress.

Date: 2008-06-30 09:35 pm (UTC)And why? Because I'm A BA in English with a disturbing if unofficial focus on Irish Lit [in that over half of my elective were Irish Lit! :D] and that being my focus and my plan being to be a prof of it....Studying in Ireland is VERY LOGICAL!
Hahaha I know. I finally got OUT of dorms, only to return to them because the way getting an apartment works is that you have to PHYSICALLY BE THERE. Which means being in Dublin without a residence until I found something. So dorms? And KNOWING I'LL HAVE A PLACE TO LIVE? Enormous peace of mind.
